Privacy policy

This page explains what we do with the information you share when you call us, text us a photo, email us, or browse this website. We keep it short and specific, because a policy you cannot read is not much use to you.

Who we are

Around Town Junk Removal LLC is a family-owned junk removal and demolition company serving the Greater Phoenix Valley and Scottsdale. We are licensed with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, AZ ROC #363692.

What we collect

When you contact us

Most people reach us by phone, by text, or by email. When you do, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, your phone number or email address, the photos of the items you want removed, the address where the work would happen, and anything else you write to us. We use it to quote the job, schedule it, and do the work.

Text messages travel over your mobile carrier's network, and email over your email provider. Their handling of those messages is governed by their own policies, not this one.

This site does not currently run a contact form. The contact page offers our phone number, text line, and email address instead.

Automatically, when you visit

This website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes the technical details of each request, including your IP address, the browser you use, and the pages you ask for. This is what makes it possible to deliver the site and to defend it against attacks and abuse.

We do use advertising cookies. They are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time using "Turn off ad cookies" on the cookie notice, which you can reopen from the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Sell signal, we treat that as turning them off and you do not need to do anything else. Visitors in the UK, the EU, and Switzerland are the reverse: nothing is switched on there until they allow it. We do not use any other cross-site tracking.

Stored on your device

We store two small values in your browser's local storage. Neither one identifies you, and neither leaves your device:

• Display preferences. If you change the text size, contrast, motion, or typeface using the accessibility panel, we remember that so the site looks the same on your next visit.
• Your cookie choice. Whether you allowed optional cookies or chose essential only, so we stop asking.

You can clear both at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Doing so simply returns the site to its defaults.

Other services this site uses

A few things on this site are provided by other companies. When your browser loads them, it contacts those companies directly, which means they can see your IP address.

• Google Fonts. The typefaces are loaded from Google's font servers when the page opens.
• Google Ads. We advertise with Google. Their tag loads on every page so we can see which ads lead to enquiries and show our ads again to people who have visited. Its advertising cookies are on unless you turn them off, or your browser tells us to. It also swaps the phone number shown on our call buttons for a Google forwarding number, which rings our real line and tells us the call came from an ad. Our text-a-photo number is never changed.
• YouTube. Our videos pages show still images from YouTube's image servers. The video player itself is not loaded until you press play, and when you do, it loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. Once you press play, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback.
• Online booking. The scheduler on our Book Now page is provided by Autopilot and loads only on that page. The details you enter there, such as your name, contact information, address, and the time you pick, go to that platform so we can schedule and do the job.
• Angflare. The platform we use to manage enquiries and to monitor how the site performs in search.

Links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, Nextdoor, and our sister company take you to those sites, where their policies apply instead of ours.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information for money. While advertising cookies are on, Google receives the data described above so it can measure and target our ads, which some privacy laws count as "sharing" for advertising; turning the cookies off stops it. Beyond that, we share it only with the service providers we need to run the business, such as our hosting and enquiry platforms above, and only so they can perform that work for us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our crew, or someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to serve you, to handle any follow-up or warranty question, and to meet our tax and business record obligations. When we no longer need them, we dispose of them.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@AroundTownJunk.com and tell us what you need. We may have to confirm who you are before we act, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.

If you are a California resident, state law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain uses of your information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to complain to your data protection authority.

To stop receiving text messages from us, reply STOP to any message. To reopen the cookie choice on this site, clear your site data in your browser settings.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
